American Furniture Warehouse | Central Maintenance Facility

INDUSTRIAL

COMPLETED: 2022

LOCATION: Firestone, CO

PROJECT AREA: 24,000 Sq. Ft.

Studio K2 Architecture provided design for the new ground-up central maintenance facility for the American Furniture Warehouse fleet of vehicles. This facility consists of six metal buildings integrated together to house five service bays. Also included in this facility is a 2-ton track crane used for full engine rebuilds, customized to include concrete troughs for under-equipment maintenance.

This building also includes large storage areas for parts, a paint booth, and a wash bay. The wash bay is fully recyclable reducing water usage by 80% over a standard system. The architectural design is sympathetic with the overall brand of American Furniture Warehouse.

The project’s scope included:

  • Multiple pre-engineered metal buildings assembled into a large vehicle maintenance facility
  • Management of a team of subconsultants and metal building vendors, along with precise requirements from third party vendors for the wash bay & paint booth equipment
