The Crossing Community and Housing Development

LOCATION: Buena Vista, CO

PROJECT AREA: 13 Acres (Phase 1)

This development will help solve a critical affordable housing need in our mountain communities. Studio K2 Architecture provided urban design and community development design standards for this project, which will include 114 residences, community parks and trails including, 22 preserved pinon pine trees, and 47 new trees as part of its first phase. SK2 developed the design standards by decoding historic forms found in the valley. We’re also currently working on the housing prototypes along with local agencies to develop sustainable strategies throughout. Read more about this development in The Arkansas Valley Voice .
